The company was established in 1957 with the objective of facilitating direct procurement of prime quality raw materials to meet increasing requirement of group companies for exports. From a modest beginning at Veraval, a small port town in prime oilseeds growing region of Gujarat, the organization has grown over four decades of existence with a clear focus on international agriculture produce business. |
Company gained valuable experience and established wide network of contacts during initial procurement related activities.
Management’s concern for quality of products led the company to undertake grading of HPS Groundnuts for export market in early sixties.
This was followed by take over of edible oil crushing unit in 1964 and addition of Cottonseed processing facility in 1967. By early seventies, the company had invested in technical upgradation to create one of the best grading cleaning facilities for HPS Groundnuts and other oil seeds in anticipation of demand for better product quality from importing countries. |
